Junior Project Manager, Construction

This role is a hybrid project management and construction administration position at Kith. You will be working on special projects within the Expansion organization, primarily focused on active store updates. The role requires detailed communications to ensure all parties involved with a live retail operation are properly notified of the work taking place. The financial administration and back office construction administration will be a short-term role with the expectation that the individual transitions into a full time project manager on the Expansion team.


Project Management

  • Perform thorough walk-throughs for repairs and maintenance, and providing detailed scopes with pricing for leadership review
  • Manage special project build-outs in collaboration with internal team and external vendors to ensure that each store is designed with detailed budget management
  • Manage project schedules and ensure deadlines that have been communicated are met.
  • Coordinate project work with live operation retail, food & beverage, and security teams
  • Track, document, and upload all work that has been completed into our Asset Management portal.


Financial / Construction Administration

  • Review lease exhibits, various vendor proposals, and other documentation related to construction processes and budget management
  • Manage financial documents in relation to budget per project i.e. input all budget numbers, signed contract numbers, and final billed invoices per vendor per project
  • Prepare Financial Weekly Report
  • Manage Construction Payables document, work cross functionally with Controller on payouts, identify what invoices are Urgent and what invoices can be set on a Net 15/Net 30 projection for accounting team
  • Prepare leveling documents per sub trade as applicable, manage Change Order approvals & Change Order tracker, and review and approve quotes as needed
  • Execute and manage the project closeout process involving all documentation and coordination for GCs, OFCI vendors, and Kith Operations, Facilities and Finance teams
  • Facilitate weekly project meetings with designers and manage meeting minutes.


Who You Are

  • Equipped with 1-3 years of experience in retail construction project management
  • Tenured in managing multiple projects and budgets at once
  • Experienced in the luxury or specialty retail store development industry
  • Strong analytical, scheduling, and computer skill sets
  • Organized person with strong attention to detail
  • An excellent communicator with good intrapersonal skills
  • Experienced in vendor management and the facilitation of diverse teams of internal and external partners
  • Experience in reviewing vendor invoices, contracts, and bids
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Procore, and Asana

*All applicants must be vaccinated and located in the NYC Metro area willing to go into the office 5 days a week in order to work at KITH.
