Wellness Meets World is seeking an Intensive In-Community Therapist (IIC)- LPC/LCSW to join our team!
Applicants interested to work as an IIC in the Middlesex, Somerset, Monmouth and/or surrounding counties with the following (or equivalent) credentials are welcome to apply: Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Psychologist or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in good standing.
Therapist’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities:
Provide in-home counseling to youth (ranging from 5-21 years of age) and/or their families.
Complete Biopsychosocial (BPS) assessments to determine level of care
Deliver evidence-based practices in compliance with agency policies and regulations
Complete therapeutic services in the youth's home or in the community based on the needs of the family and clinical judgement
Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner
Demonstrate competency in the knowledge and skills that are necessary to meet clients’ psychological and social needs from diverse ethnic backgrounds
Attend scheduled supervision and meetings related to client care
Maintain confidentiality of records as related to HIPAA, professional ethics, and agencies policies and procedures
Provide crisis intervention as necessary
Teach youth and caregivers strategies to help manage maladaptive behaviors and high-risk behaviors while helping the family to develop healthier family dynamics
Participate and collaborate with each member of the child-family team (CFT) which may consist of, but is not limited to, behavioral assistants, mentors, psychiatrists, teachers, care managers, DCP&P, school administration, and other community resources.
Qualifications:
Applicant must be a fully licensed clinician (ex. LPC, LCSW)
Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields
Familiarity with community mental health resources
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to build rapport with clients
Strong leadership qualities
Specializations/Skills are a plus:
Trauma related therapy
Racial trauma
Working with youth with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
Multilingual
Experience treating individuals with substance use challenges
