Our client, a leading global sustainability company, is looking for a Director, Investor Relations to join their team.
Mission of the Role
Work as a strategic business partner responsible for leading and expanding investor outreach.
Aid in business growth through expertise in valuations and financial aspects.
Lead a team to drive the right decisions through actionable insights and analysis.
Oversee tools and processes for organizational growth (demonstrated analysis and experience in managing and/or planning a large company).
Responsabilities
Work with management in preparing content for the annual investor conference.
Review information and research models from vendors.
Oversee compliance with the Fair Disclosure Regulation, along with other applicable regulatory requirements.
Establish and lead the communication strategy in investor relations disclosure (organization of calls, meetings, among others).
Prepare the management team for the quarterly earnings release, including the development of scripts, live Q&A sessions.
Responsible for managing vendor estimates and consensus expectations, and providing periodic updates to the executive team as appropriate.
Support the preparation of all annual reports, SEC filings, and proxy statements.
Serve as the point of contact with the investor community, establishing and maintaining stock market relationships.
Organize conferences, earnings calls, and investor meetings.
Provide management with insights from the investor community regarding the company's management and their opinion on the financial results.
Serve as a conduit for company information and the primary point of contact with the investor community.
Preparation of periodic updates on shareholder-related matters for the executive team and the Board of Directors.
Oversee media presence and provide timely and/or relevant updates to management.
Serve as the central source for informing and updating investors on the company's results. Responsible for developing an analysis of shareholder objectives and implementing a plan to attract them.
Conduct sector benchmarking assessments.
Create and manage client communications (requests for information, reimbursement, and capital distribution notices).
Competitor analysis, including the development of sector performance benchmarks and similar company references.
Requirements
Academic Background:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent experience. CPA/CFA a plus, MBA strongly preferred.
20 years of experience with a minimum of 10 years INVESTOR RELATIONS experience.
Professional Experience:Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to see, and model current and future states.
Technical Skills:Experience with SAP S4 Hana environment, BI Tools and/or SQL is a must.
Must demonstrate a deep familiarity with financial accounting, modeling, and analysis.
Must be an analytical thinker that will drive qualitative and quantitative analysis for strategic business issues.
Strong executive presence with the ability to lead change and drive execution.
Has a consumer brand perspective, customer analytic skills and the proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, investors, customers, and vendors.
Proven success building an IR/PR function in a high-growth environmen.
Thoroughly familiar with all aspects of public company SEC reporting (annual, quarterly,
registration, etc.).
Ability to understand and articulate complex scientific data to external communities
