Position's Pay Range: $57,500 - $72,000/sal. depending upon experience
Position Summary
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for data-driven analysis of business functions, with the objective of developing insights and making recommendations to identify solutions, KPI’s and Key Metrics that drive process improvements, business growth and financial performance of the operating groups.
Essential Functions
Identify and establish scope and parameters of reporting systems and data analysis to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions
Queries, collects, and analyzes financial and operational data sets for analysis
Performs quantitative analysis using advanced Excel skills, Power BI, R, statistical methods, and other analytical tools to prepare and deliver reports and recommendations
Develop Power BI reports, dashboards and dataflows to support the needs of the business
Concisely communicates assumptions, findings, and recommendations of analysis to leadership
Develops cross-functional working relationships to discover and master relevant data sets, allowing a total systems analytical view
Communicates effectively with operations and IT group, and works towards higher levels of automation in analytics; participates in development of data warehouse
Develop and document research, data retrieval, and data analysis methodologies for use by other personnel.
Monitor and assist with the implementation of Key Metrics and KPI’s for the operating group
Develop strategies for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of existing reporting systems and creating new or additional reports and reporting systems.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Degree in the field(s) of supply chain, operational management, statistics, or business administration
Advanced certificate/degree in Analytics preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel data handling and analytical skills (formulas, macros, pivot tables, etc.)
Previous knowledge or experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies a plus
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
Advanced Report Development skills in Power BI (MS Certification preferred)
Experience optimizing data visualization for end user consumption
Experience with Flow / Power Automate preferred
Experience with predictive analytics, machine learning models preferred
Proficient in writing SQL queries, relational databases
Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to communicate ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
Keen listening and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Highly self-motivated, logical, and efficient with strong focus and attention to detail.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
