Candidate will assist in all aspects of the process by prospecting, cultivating, setting appointments and managing leads. Also will help to obtain critical information about new client opportunities, help to prepare presentations and marketing material and provide follow up activities.

Business Development Assistant Job Responsibilities

  • Provide general support to Business Development Partner.
  • Interface with marketing team to manage brand and marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with market and screening prospect client research.
  • Maintain schedules and calendar for business development initiatives.
  • Assist with social media posting and content.
  • Organize target lists, assist with obtaining contact info for targets.
  • Perform outbound calling, e-mail and text communication.
  • Potentially accompany Partner to trade shows, company events.
  • Help to organize and manage marketing collateral and presentations.
  • Assist with tracking and reconciling sales in Salesforce, Maconomy, Scorecard and other systems.
  • Assist with proposals, client acceptance packages, and client code set up and on-boarding procedures.
  • Assist with seeking out appropriate Marcum colleagues with expertise for prospect client.
  • Support efforts to manage and nurture current client relationships and identify cross-sell opportunities.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of organization and attention to detail and follow-skills
  • Comfort with multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment
  • Understanding of basic business and marketing concepts
  • Excellent time management skills & strong interpersonal and social abilities
  • Familiarity with social media, social networking, email marketing and search engines
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong writing and copy-editing abilities

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field a plus
  • 1-3 years’ experience in marketing or equivalent education
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated experience with social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere) a plus
  • This is an ideal person for a recent graduate or someone with 1 years of experience.
  • Must have good research and computer skills.
  • This is a hybrid position with 1-3 days a week in the office working directly with the business development team.

This compensation range is specific to certain locations and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

Compensation Range

Hourly: $20.00 - $25.00
