Associate Project Manager, Creative Operations

Who You Are:

The Creative Operations Associate Project Manager is responsible for supporting and managing 360 campaigns for the MMK brand and special projects in collaboration with Art, Fashion Office, Shoot Production, Editorial, Post Production, Studio teams.


Reporting to the Director, Creative Operations, the Associate Project Manager will be the central point of contact for any seasonal campaigns/special projects, ensuring all milestones within a project are met and all teams are aligned, by providing clear and concise planning and communication in order to ensure successful executions. The ability to work independently while adjusting and adapting management styles and techniques to the uniqueness of each project is essential to success in this role.


What You’ll Do:

Project Management Responsibilities:

  • Develops timelines and manages orderly flow of creative projects from initial scoping and development to delivery and production of final assets.
  • Regularly communicates and presents project schedules, statuses, and updates to various team members, always tailoring communication and bringing solutions/opportunities.
  • Organize and lead kick off and status meetings with key players to ensure that project needs and deadlines are being met, issuing meeting agendas beforehand.
  • Takes detailed notes from meetings and sends clear and concise recaps and next steps to teams involved.
  • Acts as primary contact between creative (editorial/art/fashion/studio/post-production) and business teams, working with other project managers to coordinate timelines, provide required information/documents, follow-up on outstanding deliverables and ensure flawless, timely execution.
  • Ensures projects are routed for all senior leadership approvals where necessary
  • Align with Post Production team on project timelines and ensure budgets are met, working to problem-solve as necessary. Ensure that all projects are released to Post Production on time in order to guarantee project due dates.
  • Oversee and manage regional campaigns partnering with external agencies.

Campaign Responsibilities:

  • Manage the release of campaign image indexes/contact sheets by partnering with post production, shoot production, art, and FO to confirm images, gathering product sku lists, and ensuring delivery to company.
  • Works with teams to build shot lists and confirm the product featured prior to shoot.
  • Oversee the Guidelines Asset packs as needed for Campaigns, including timelines, execution and delivery.
  • Manage executional projects related to Campaign, ie site assets, emails, print collateral etc.

Social Media Management Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the social media process, including confirming all necessary approvals for the social media calendar have been obtained in advance of any social posts going live
  • Keep track of any upcoming PR/influencer events that may need creative resources and PM accordingly
  • Develop timelines and manage the orderly flow of creative projects/requests for social, ensuring all cross functional teams are properly informed and prepared of any upcoming deliverables and senior leadership reviews
  • Facilitate and manage social needs coming out of Ad campaign


You’ll Need to Have

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to work in NYC office
  • Minimum 3 years experience in project management within a creative setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to manage relationships and drive process
  • Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Strong project management skills
  • Motivation, decisiveness, solution-oriented thinking, and organizational skills are a must
  • Production knowledge/experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of Adobe programs, InDesign and Keynote is a plus
  • Experience in Wrike or other project management software is a plus
