POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for coordinating daily operations of the business units in their assigned area and are responsible for direct patient care, monitoring performance of operations, insuring the department is compliant with company initiatives, policies, and procedures; and elevating prioritized needs to the COO and Executive leadership. The position requires the AD to provide 60% of their time to direct patient care activities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Direct supervise and coordinate the therapy functions and activities of clinics including systems, budget, materials management, human resources, data processing and maintenance
  • Mentor and guide clinic directors, office managers, clinicians, office assistants and techs/aides in all aspects of operations, human resource standards and fiscal objectives
  • Participate in the development of corporate goals, objectives and policies
  • Promote the provision of cost-effective, high-quality health care services for patients
  • Ensure high degree of patient and client satisfaction with assigned center(s)
  • Maintain compliance with government and third-party payer requirements
  • Develop operational plans to assure medical and logistical viability and to fulfill the clinics’ goals and objectives in a coordinated, effective and efficient manner
  • Participate in budget development, including forecasts of revenue, workload, and requirements for personnel, space, equipment and support services to assure financial viability and to fulfill the clinics’ goals and objectives in a coordinated, effective and efficient manner. Report and interpret monthly and annual data to assure budget compliance
  • Participate in implementation of marketing plans that include assisting with the development of the corporate strategy, promotion of the clinics and their professionals, and product/service assessment
  • Analyze market conditions, identify and interpret trends or deviations from standards and respond by initiating policy or procedure changes
  • Resolve conflicts that occur in the assigned center(s) while protecting the professional and legal rights of everyone involved
  • Resolve problems related to staffing, utilization of facilities, equipment and supplies

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in the healthcare industry or related field
  • Excellent people skills. Ability to motivate, cooperate with and work effectively with others
  • Knowledge of the organization’s policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of fiscal management practices and human resource management techniques
  • Knowledge of health care administration systems
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, standards and techniques of therapy as they relate to a sports medicine approach and industrial medicine
  • Knowledge and competency of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient, direct and coordinate therapy services operations
  • Skill in completing and maintaining fiscal reports, productivity reports, peer review analyses and disciplinary action sessions

Minimum Education And Experience

  • Masters or Doctorate from a school of physical therapy accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association, or foreign equivalent
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the California Board of Physical Therapy, or accepted for licensure by official date of hire
