Teaching Personnel are working with a SEN provision in TA24, it is a specialist college and training hotel for young people with learning disabilities.The provision believe in changing lives and giving their students the skills, knowledge, and confidence to successfully shape their own future. The aim is to equip young adults with the life and hospitality skills to become work ready, life ready.
The Main Purpose Of The Role
As the Assistant Head of Education,you will work with the Principal & Head of Education in all aspects of leadership and management and to take responsibility for managing and developing learning and teaching, curriculum and assessment
Key Duties
Play a key role in the overall smooth running of the college.
Spend up to 0.2 of post (to be directed by the Head of Education) of working time classroom based demonstrating and modelling good practice, and ensuring ‘quality teaching first’.
Lead by example of his/her practice, and by positively encouraging, coaching and mentoring and supporting training and development for all members of the team.
Take lead responsibility for ensuring the best possible curriculum offer, provision, well-being, progress and achievement for all student especially through enrichment, creative learning, extended services, partnerships and collaboration.
Work with the Principal and Head of Education to ensure that the college offers a high quality, exciting, engaging, well resourced, differentiated and well matched curriculum for all students.
Develop positive relationships within the college, wider team and externally which support the running and developing of the college towards and sustaining outstanding.
