Account Manager

Strategic Role

This position is directly responsible to comply with TM Global’s Sales objective by contributing to the strategic direction or strategic plan of the business focusing on Enterprise and Wholesale segment for Data products in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market and develop partnerships
  • Collaborate with Global Business Division and Product Development Units of Telekom Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur in relation to market trends, new products, budget and service delivery issues
  • Maintain proper records of all business transaction and customers information
  • Manage service activation of customer order including timely acquisition of network equipment and site preparation works
  • Manage and direct all vendors and partners involved and implementing performance standards
  • Review monthly, quarterly and annual sales numbers to ensure budget is exceeded
  • Review weekly activity
  • Ensuring we are touching all of our customers and prospects on an ongoing and consistent basis
  • Create strategies to increase sales growth and profitability through development of new accounts and the growth of existing customers
  • Produce timely business performance and status report for the company’s management and Board of Directors meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the direct superior
  • Must be able to use data in order to make business decisions

Job Requirements

  • Candidates preferably possess a degree in Telecommunication or Information Technology, or Sales and Marketing
  • Candidates should have at least 5 years’ experience in enterprise and wholesale products market environment.
  • PC knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet mail.
  • Good technical feel and business writing skills
  • Having strong customer focus, extensive sales and marketing contacts.
  • Demonstrated ability in interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Proven track record in managing wholesale bandwidth and data business. Also must be able to handle several complex customers’ request/tasks simultaneously.
  • Positive working attitudes and able to go on business trips independently
  • Data Center knowledge would be an added advantage
