PRIMARY TEACHER RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons and projects aligned with the Cambridge curriculum both indoors and outdoors.
  • Create engaging lessons to involve students of all abilities that cultivate real-world problem-solving skills.
  • Use a mix of resources to enhance the student’s exploration of the topic.
  • Creativity in modifying some lessons for outdoor learning.
  • Use different teaching methods, including whole class, group work, demonstrations, experiments and play, to motivate and encourage interacting in the class.
  • Provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all learners, ensuring that every student experiences a personalized program.
  • Use a variety of formative assessment methods to measure student learning and progress.
  • Monitor and assess progress through routine use of verbal and written feedback linked directly to learning objectives.
  • Reflect on their practice to identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate actively in ongoing professional learning.
  • Use effective classroom management techniques aligned with conscious displine principles, to withhold an environment of respect for each other and the resources.
  • Prepare end of term reports and meet with parents.
  • Dedicate time to connect with each individual child
  • Provide regular updates to parents about the progress of each child
  • Develop and run some after-care classes
  • Invoke a positive and joyful learning atmosphere that leads learners to value being at school and feel part of this learning community.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor’s degree, a recognized teaching certification and relevant teaching experience to qualify
  • Minimum of five years of full-time teaching experience
  • Native-Level English speaker
  • Enjoy connecting with nature and getting hands dirty!
  • Experience working with a culturally and linguistically diverse student body
  • Dedication to learning, reflecting and developing the craft of teaching 
  • A passion for educational excellence and an alignment with the values of Hypha. 
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills
  • Being enthusiastic, having imagination and a caring nature
  • Very resourceful and adaptive, eager to embrace growth and learning  


PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS


  • Experience working with inquiry-based educational programs, preferably with IB or Cambridge Global Perspectives
  • Experience with implementing active learning with a project-based approach
  • Experience with positive or conscious discipline approaches
