Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst

We are looking for an Analyst to be part of the Mergers & Acquisitions team at Sonae with the following profile:

M&A Analyst

Responsibilities:

•   Prepare investment presentations for buy-side, merger and sell-side opportunities, covering operational, financial, transactional and governance aspects of the deals;

•   Execute financial and valuation analysis of companies in different sectors, including building business plans, analyzing potential transaction structures and developing valuation exercises (using trading comparables, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow analysis, amongst other methodologies); support the due diligence process;

•   Prepare market analyses to identify potential targets for Sonae, assessing the strategic and financial fit of the targets.

Main requirements:

•   Strong financial analytical capabilities and communication skills, particularly in Portuguese and English;

•   At least 1-2 years of experience in M&A, corporate finance, private equity and investment analysis or similar areas;

•   Strong team orientation and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members in multiple functions and across divisions.

Work Location:

Hybrid mode (following the company policy: 3 days at the office).

The role will be developed in Oporto or Lisbon.
