Transmission Engineer

We are currently hiring for transmission engineer for Chennai location.

JD

* Engineering graduate with 3 to 4 years of experience

* Experience in Telecom Network Operation Centre supporting layer 1, 2 and 3 operations

* Experience on SDH, Carrier Ethernet Products from multiple vendors and knowledge of different EMS & NMS tools

* Transmission Network Monitoring System : Standard troubleshooting activities that are performed at transmission nodes

* Knowledge on functionality of transmission media test equipment (Optical light meter, power meter, Optical Time Domain Reflectometer - OTDR)

* Immediate fault isolation and resolution capability.

* Alarm correlation and impact analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and recommended action to resolve network issues.

* Knowledge of performance and traffic analysis methodologies & tools

* Complete knowledge of architecture and functioning of the specific network elements

* Complete knowledge of overall network operations, network inventory and activity flows

* Knowledge of all relevant protocols handled by specific network elements

* Good understanding of the network elements to be monitored.
