Job Description

The Manager, GSS Academy is responsible for leading the design, development, and execution of comprehensive learning and development programs for employees across GSS. This role is responsible for the planning, execution, and evaluation of training initiatives aligned with the function’s strategic objectives and talent development needs. The role holder provides functional expertise and oversite to learning initiatives being run at Pune, Budapest and Montevideo centers

The role will provide opportunity to work with global and country leadership of GSS. The role holder is also required to work closely with other HR stakeholders such as HRBP, Talent & Culture and GSS HR leadership team

  • Lead the learning and development agenda for GSS.
  • Partner with functional leadership to identify key development needs.
  • Design and deliver learning interventions to build the required capabilities in the function.
  • Lead the GSS academy team, focusing on their development and engagement.
  • Partner with Talent & Culture team to synergies and adopt the best practices.

What are the main activities the person in the job is responsible for?

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive learning strategy that supports organizational goals, employee development, and talent management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify training needs and design customized learning solutions, including instructor-led training, e-learning modules, and blended learning programs.
  • Manage the learning management system (LMS) and ensure seamless delivery of training content, tracking of learner progress, and reporting of training metrics.
  • Oversee the selection, development, and management of internal and external trainers, facilitators, and subject matter experts.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development by fostering an environment that encourages knowledge sharing, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through data analysis, feedback collection, and learning assessments, and make necessary adjustments to improve program quality and impact.
  • Manage the learning academy budget, allocate resources effectively, and ensure cost-efficient delivery of training programs.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of learning and development.

Experience Required For The Job

Qualification / Experience

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or training management roles.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing comprehensive learning programs and initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to measure training effectiveness and impact.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members
