About the Role
This is a contract remote role for a Computational Linguist. The Computational Linguist will be responsible for tasks such as developing and testing algorithms related to language and speech processing, analyzing language data, developing and refining software models, verifying translations, and generating linguistic rules.
Responsibilities:
Consult with Linguistic Project Manager and other Natural Language Expert Researchers to assist the variety of NLP projects. This includes: - Reviewing and annotating linguistic data - Summarizing LLM based data - Providing linguistic analysis and expertise for semantic, syntactic and morphological projects - Consulting with researchers and engineers on the development of linguistic databases
Conduct linguistic research and analysis to identify and address language-related challenges and improve the performance of our AI systems.
Develop and implement linguistic models, algorithms, and methodologies to optimize language generation and improve the overall linguistic quality of our AI products.
Analyze and evaluate the performance of our AI systems through rigorous testing and experimentation, providing valuable insights and recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with the data team to collect and annotate linguistic data, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of the training datasets.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in natural language processing, machine learning, and linguistics, and apply this knowledge to enhance our AI systems.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior linguists and data scientists, sharing your expertise and helping to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
Master's in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Natural Language Processing, or a related field or PHD in Linguistics.
