After the most recent Samsung update for the S22, the voice command "call " no longer works either through the phone, or while driving, through Android auto. In both instances, the following response is given from Android auto "for that you need to download the latest version of the google app". Updating the Google app does not help. All other voice commands still seem to work e.g. "navigate to..." "Play " etc

If I'm playing a video or listening to a podcast with my wired headphones in, the LAST thing I need is for Google to start playing Spotify, ramp up the volume, or pause everything to ask me if I want to set up Google Assistant. Switched off all permissions, disabled headphones as input, turned off Google Assistant, disabled responses on lock screen, disabled the app entirely, NOTHING works. What's the point of letting me disable Assistant if the damn thing won't stop pestering me anyway?

Terrible app all the way around. While watching a video the sound will cut down to half and the only "remedy" is to restart the app, (sometimes.) Absolutely NO customer service. You have to jump through hoops to even come close, but after a couple hours it just iant worth it anymore. The app and the company have been terrible for years and they only seem to be getting worse. Making it harder and harder to navigate this confucing app. ! ! If your internet is slow Ads will erase your progress!

• Use voice commands while navigating – even when your device has no connection. Try saying "cancel my navigation" "what's my ETA?" or "what's my next turn?"
• It's easier to access privacy settings from the homescreen. Just tap your Google Account profile picture.
