About this app

Just Run is a simple workout app to help you get running. I made this app to get myself off the couch and start running to get to 5K. Stick to the workout plan, and you'll be able to run 5K in 9 weeks. It really does work!

If you're already able to run 5K, Just Run also has a 6-week plan to help you get up to 10K!

Workout Plans
- Zero to 5K: Gets you from absolute zero running experience to 5K in just 9 weeks, with three 30-minute workouts per week
- 5K to 10K: If you can already run 5K, or have finished Zero to 5K, this plan gets you to 10K in only 6 weeks

Features
šŸ“… Target dates for each workout, calculated based on your progress, and optimal exercise days
šŸ“£ Choose from multiple trainer voices, which tell you exactly when to run and walk
šŸ“± Lock screen notification so you don't need to unlock your phone to check your progress
šŸš« No ads! Ads are no fun, so Just Run has no ads!
šŸŽµ Works with music, audiobook and podcast apps - Just Run will briefly lower the volume of the other app when prompting you to run and walk, so you'll never miss a prompt
šŸ”½ Tiny download (less than 4MB), so Just Run will take up very little space on your device
āž• Upgrade to Premium to get more trainer voices, multiple theme options, and to support continued development of Just Run

I'd love to hear how you're getting on with Just Run. You can email me at [email protected].

Just Run is the successor to Syncostyle's 5K Trainer and B210K Trainer. If you liked those, Just Run will feel very familiar!

started training for a 5k using this app w my teenagers. worked fine w their apple phones but on my Android it took me a couple of run/walk cycles to understand i needed to lock the screen in-app and then not sleep the phone so it would work. after i figured that out it was perfect. just bought the premium version bc i want to support one-time purchase, anti-subscription, anti-ad. thanks for keeping it ad free! Happy to buy instead of subscribe ā¤ļø

Once I understood why the app kept bugging during my runs (you REALLY have to keep your screen on), it went great. Simple to use, no frills. I would love to be able to start a run anywhere on the bar or to be able to restart a run/walk cycle, but other than that, I have no complaints.

By far the best couch to 5k app out there and I love that all the basic functions of the app are free. Only thing I wish it had is a visual of the progress being made (like the graphs that Marathon Handbook makes) so I could post it on social media/mark off the days/get the big picture view of where I'm at. I would also love if the app had an option to record how far you ran that day. Otherwise, perfect! I'm 3.5 weeks in and can't wait til I can graduate to the 5-10k training plan.

What's new

I'm very excited to announce Just Run 3.0!

The timer code has been rewritten from scratch to make the app use less battery, while also being more reliable in the background on new Android versions. The notification is no longer integral to keeping the timer running, so I've moved it Feature Preview to decide if it should remain in the app.

This work wouldn't have been possible without Premium purchases, which meant I could take time off from my day job. Thank you all so much! - Gary
