How to log on to Mobile Banking
• If you’re registered for HSBC Online Banking, you can use your existing details
• If you’re not yet registered, simply download the app, then select ‘Register now’.

Move money
The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app lets you send money to family or friends using their account details or mobile number. Pay bills with pre-populated bank details for hundreds of major businesses. And instantly move money between your personal accounts.
Mobile statements
With the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app you can securely access your current account, savings and credit card statements.
Mobile cheque deposits
The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app lets you pay in cheques without going to a branch by selecting the account, entering the value then scanning the front and back of the cheque. Please keep any cheques until they show in your account. £2,000 per day. Cheques deposited before 10pm on a working day will be available by 11:59pm the next working day.
Block your card
Ever lost your card, only for it to turn up the moment you cancelled it? With the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app you can place a temporary block on your card with just a few taps. It will stay blocked until you unblock it, or it can be reported as lost or stolen.
Live chat
Need help or assistance? Select 'Chat with us' in the Support menu and, if you’re a Digital Secure Key user, we’ll send you an alert when we reply. So you're free to get on with your day.
Gambling restriction
You can choose to restrict transactions made to gambling businesses, such as casinos and online betting companies, and recurring transactions such as The Postcode Lottery. The block only applies to individual cards held in your name.

The August update broke the app as it now no longer launches and just crashes when you try to open it rendering the app useless. It's been 2 months and it still hasn't been fixed despite countless reviews on here of people saying the same which is disgraceful. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app makes no difference. I have found a workaround that should work for anybody with a Samsung phone though. You can create a Secure Folder instance and install the app in there and it seems to work fine

Just bought a new phone and until now this app has worked without issue. Unfortunately like a lot of previous reviews this now freezes as soon as you try to open it and you cannot get past the start up screen with the logo. Tried everything cleared cache, restarted, uninstalled and tried again but still doesn't work. It is now completely unusable as I can't even get to the login page. In this day and age not having a working banking app is beyond inconvenient.

App has started to lock up on startup, freezes on the logo screen and needs a complete reset of the phone. It has worked flawlessly for years and would have earned a 5 star review. It is most inconvenient as when you need the app, you need it then. Tried ringing, lady took details shown above but I have had no feedback and I didn't get much reassurance that anything would happen. I opened this account over fifty years ago but it's becoming clear I shall have to look elsewhere.
