More than once, while reviewing French, the app jumps ahead of the reading exercises. As in, I finish what comes before, and instead of having to do the reading exercises on my path, it just jumps them, and the next exercise is automatically open/available. The problem is that doing the reading exercises after they have been jumped gives you fewer points once you can only "review them." It has happened several times.

Duolingo is a great app, and I only have a few issues with the language learning aspect of it, and for that, I would give the app four stars... HOWEVER The fact that Android still doesn't have math and music and it's been over a year that Apple has had these is just unacceptable to me. Therefore, my rating is two stars for now, although I am genuinely tempted to give just one until this is finally resolved or at least addressed.

I can't stand how they continuously remove and change user preferences. Why get rid of the dark mode? Dark mode makes it easier on the eyes and easier to do lessons before bedtime. This is an okay tool to use to learn a language. I've been using it for several years. I like the variety of activities they have with an application. Over the last couple years they've made so many changes to the application and it is now hard to keep track of my own progress within my language.
