From Proto-Albanian *tsitsa, possibly from Proto-Indo-European *ḱik- (compare Serbo-Croatian sisa (teat, tit), Irish cíoch (breast), Old Armenian ծիծ (cic, breast)) and/or onomatopoeic. Related to thithkë.
