Height
[edit]Is Jordan Rhodes really 6'2 ? I've seen him in a few games for Scotland and he didn't look any taller than Kenny Miller who is 5'10. I think until a referenced source is found for his height this should be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.104.204.246 (talk) 17:02, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
Nationality
[edit]Rhodes plays football for the Scotland team, but I don't think it's accurate to describe him as "Scottish". He is English by ancestry, birth and residence and speaks with an English accent, i.e. he is not Scottish by any objective measure.Shiresman (talk) 06:22, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
- Nevertheless, ancestry/birth/residence/speech doesnt define nationality, ultimately it is what Jordan thinks of himself. Nationality may only be defined in this article when there is objective referensible evidence of his opinion. MacarismTalk 13:31, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- He has claimed that he feels more Scottish than English, Having moved there at a young age and grown up there. Iainturnerisgod (talk) 15:41, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
- There are some gaps in his biography, but if he moved when his father moved, then he would have left Scotland for England at the age of eight. If this is the case then I don't think the assertion that he "grew up" in Scotland is supportable. He may still hold some fondness for the country, but it is hard to see how it could be much more than this. It is interesting that he did not turn down a call-up to the England U17 squad - which suggests that it took him a considerable period of time to realise that he was Scottish rather than English. In articles like this FIFA nationality is used. According to FIFA Jordan Rhodes is Scottish and nothing more. It's the same reason you have an Irish flag next to Owen Coyle's (born and raised in Scotland) name in the English Premier League manager table. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.104.204.246 (talk) 17:01, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yes - and this is entirely sensible. But I think an encyclopaedia ought to distinguish between a footballing allegiance - which as we all know can and does change, often for rather superficial reasons - and real-life national identity. It renders the words "Scottish" and "Irish" rather meaningless if Rhodes and Coyle are described as such without any caveats. My opinion only. Shiresman (talk) 15:24, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
Scottish people of English descent
[edit]I would like to propose adding Rhodes to this category. Should be an uncontroversial move. Anyone disagree?Shiresman (talk) 18:02, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
Kit Number
[edit]I would like to propose adding his kit number as it has been confirmed he is inheriting the no.9 shirt following the departure of Enrique 'Kike' García Martinez to SD Eibar. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.21.146.102 (talk) 17:03, 3 February 2016 (UTC)

There is an error in the formatting of the 2016-17 part of the career stats total; it has been filled in using the formatting from the total stats sections. Could that be fixed please? 86.191.75.227 (talk) 18:26, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. May you be a bit more specific? Which numbers are off, or which columns/rows need tweaking? — Andy W. (talk) 20:26, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
