Removed solo section

[edit]

I removed the solo/unit section from this discography. The members are notable enough to have their own articles, so their discography information should go there. -AngusWOOF (talk) 16:38, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Chinese Sales

[edit]

I feel that reading through this article it is easy for one to get the impression that Big Bang sells way more music in China than any other country, especially when looking at the sales figures for the Made single albums and Made full album. So could someone make it clear that these sales are in fact digital sales and not physical seeing as all the other sales figures for albums (Korean and Japanese) as well as EPs relate to physical copies.--EnderAtreides117 (talk) 13:02, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's written in those album individual pages. GD.BB (talk) 05:17, 18 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

20 links or so within a ref.. is this really necessary? Asking for a consensus before I remove it and pare it down to one [because why does overall sales need 20 weekly links?] --Jennica / talk 05:08, 20 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Are these singles or EP?

[edit]

Singles can include up to three tracks on them, and to be less than ten minutes in total. An extended play (EP) have more than three tracks on a musical release, longer than ten minutes and less than thirty minutes in total running time. Big Bang first 3 singles: Big Bang (2006 album), Bigbang is V.I.P & Big Bang 03 each have 4 songs on them, and more than 10 minutes in total length, so shouldn't it be counted as an EP? or a new definition in Korean music Single album? The same goes to 2015 singles M (Big Bang single), A (Big Bang single), D (Big Bang single) & E (Big Bang single), on the physical versions each one have at least 4 tracks, and even E have 10 tracks with total length 35:19. So they are definitely not singles, since they don't apply to the rules, they were released as a Single albums, since it's not totally a single and neither an album, and I get it that this term does not apply on wikipedia, since it's not official, but in South Korea it become a thing, and many released it the same way, so where should these "singles"/"albums" should be placed? Billboard Japan Hot 100

[edit]

The number next to 総合ポイント数 is not sales (digital downloads). Google translates that as "total number of points". This chart doesn't have sales numbers. Random86 (talk) 18:33, 20 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Gaon Chart / calculation

[edit]

As user @Thebestwinter: said, the numbers are wrong and unsourced; for example, I just clicked on random link (this one), and there is no "Haru Haru" (하루하루) on that link. So where does that numbers originate from? Why are there 50 links for one songs, and half of the links doesnt even have a song on Top 100? Clearly some WP:OR here, most likely taken from OneHallyu fan forum. Snowflake91 (talk) 20:43, 29 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I've asked the editor who reverted my edit to clarify his reasons behind it because I don't want to start an edit war but no answer so far however you are most likely right with OneHallyu. The song did chart after 2010 however it was in the Top 300. I mean the Top 400 of Gaon was available for a short amount of time before they fixed whatever made it available but again it charted in the Top 300 - the sales can't be near a million let alone 5 millions, the song was released in 2007 and it doesn't matter how many links you add there is simply no way to prove such a high number with Gaon because the chart was only established in 2010. You need reliable sources for everything prior to the creation of Gaon. I'm not even sure if South Korea had any chart for digital sales before Gaon. There was Cyworld and Melon but nothing like Gaon. The Music Industry Association of Korea, which existed before Gaon had only album sales I think.--Thebestwinter (talk) 22:18, 29 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Album and Singles table should be sorted by date

[edit]

Album and Singles must be sorted by date, and should not be separated by the Korean or Japanese language. Please see example Shakira discography. She released English and Spanish language song and other artist in Wikipedia, they sorted the single by date same. So this must change same other.
