Sorkhrud (Persian: سرخرود)[a] is a city in, and the capital of, Sorkhrud District of Mahmudabad County, Mazandaran province, Iran.[4] It also serves as the administrative center for Dabuy-ye Shomali Rural District.[5]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 6,569 in 1,841 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 5,921 people in 1,832 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 6,699 people in 2,248 households.[2]
